8 Days Belize – Culture, Jungle & Caribbean Escape
An eight-day journey through Belize combining rainforest adventure, ancient Maya heritage, and Caribbean island life. Day 1 | Arrival & Transfer to the Jungle
Arrival at Belize City International Airport followed by private transfer along well-maintained roads through changing landscapes of farmland, rainforest, and small rural communities into the Cayo District. Accommodation is at Table Rock Jungle Lodge, an eco-retreat set along the Macal River, surrounded by dense jungle, waterfalls, and rich wildlife, offering a peaceful first immersion into Belize’s rainforest environment.
Day 2 | ATM Cave – The Maya Underworld
An extraordinary guided adventure into Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave, one of the most significant archaeological cave systems in the Maya world. The journey begins with a rainforest trek and river crossings before entering vast limestone chambers filled with underground rivers, crystal formations, and preserved Maya artifacts, including ceremonial remains that reveal the spiritual depth of ancient rituals.
Day 3 | Caracol Archeological Reserve Butterfly & Hummingbird Farm
Excursion to Caracol, the largest Maya city in Belize, reached via scenic jungle roads through the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. Exploration includes expansive plazas, ancient temples, and the towering Caana pyramid overlooking the rainforest canopy. In the afternoon, continue to a Butterfly & Hummingbird Farm, where tropical gardens showcase Belize’s biodiversity and vibrant pollinator ecosystems.
Day 4 | Jungle Leisure Day at Table Rock Lodge
A relaxed day at Table Rock Jungle Lodge in the Cayo District, set directly on the Macal River and surrounded by untouched rainforest. The day offers time to unwind in a peaceful natural setting, with optional activities such as guided nature walks, canoeing, birdwatching, or short excursions to nearby waterfalls and caves, allowing flexible exploration of the region’s rich biodiversity.
Day 5 | Transfer to Caye Caulker – Caribbean Vibes
Scenic transfer from the jungle to the Caribbean coast along comfortable road networks, followed by boat crossing to the island of Caye Caulker. Check-in at Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel, a laid-back island property close to the beach. The remainder of the day is free to explore the sandy paths of the island, enjoy the turquoise waters, or simply relax in the relaxed “Go Slow” atmosphere.
Day 6 | Hol Chan Marine Reserve Snorkeling
Boat excursion to Hol Chan Marine Reserve, part of the Belize Barrier Reef system, for a guided snorkeling tour across three iconic stops: vibrant Coral Gardens, the famous Shark Ray Alley, and protected reef channels teeming with marine life. Morning boat and road transfer back to Belize City, passing once more through coastal waters and mainland landscapes before arrival at the international airport for departure.
