Rio Blanco National Park follows with a gentle rainforest walk to cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear pools surrounded by one of the region’s most pristine protected forests.

Day 4 | Leisure in the Rainforest

A day at leisure embraces the peaceful rhythm of Toledo. Birdwatching, kayaking, rainforest walks and riverside relaxation provide opportunities to appreciate these ecosystems, where rivers, native wildlife and dense forest create an atmosphere shaped by nature.

Day 6 | Cockscomb Wildlife Reserve

The journey continues to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world’s first protected reserve established for jaguar conservation. Rainforest trails, rivers and waterfalls showcase one of Belize’s most important protected ecosystems before continuing to Belize City for an overnight stay at Villa Boscardi.

Day 2 | Maya Living Experience & Rio Blanco National Park

Day 3 | Cacao Heritage & Lubaantun

Visit to Eladio Pop’s Cacao Trail, led by a respected Maya cacao farmer known for preserving traditional cultivation and chocolate-making techniques. The experience follows the full process from cacao bean to handcrafted chocolate, deeply rooted in Maya heritage and sustainable farming practices. Continue to Lubaantun, a unique Maya site distinguished by its black slate stone construction without mortar, believed to date to the Late Classic period. Its ceremonial plazas and structures offer insight into a regional center known for trade, craftsmanship, and its connection to the famous crystal skull legend.

Day 4 | Leisure at the Lodge

A full day at leisure at Tanager Rainforest Lodge, set along the Rio Grande and surrounded by dense tropical forest. Time to enjoy kayaking on the river, relaxing by the pool, or simply immersing in the tranquility of the rainforest. The setting invites a slower pace, where birdlife, jungle sounds, and the natural surroundings define the experience.

Day 5 | Birdwatching & Belize Spice Farm

Early morning birdwatching in one of Belize’s richest natural environments, part of a country that hosts over 600 recorded bird species, making it a key destination for bird enthusiasts. The surrounding rainforest offers opportunities to observe toucans, parrots, motmots, and a wide variety of tropical species. Later, visit Belize Spice Farm & Botanical Gardens, the country’s only spice farm, where guided exploration introduces crops such as vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cacao, all cultivated within a lush botanical setting that reflects the region’s agricultural diversity.

Day 6 | Cockscomb Wildlife Reserve & Transfer North
