Day 1 | Arrival & Rainforest Retreat
Arrival at Belize City International Airport followed by the journey into the Cayo District. Coastal plains gradually give way to rolling hills, rivers and tropical rainforest as western Belize unfolds. The surrounding landscape, rich in birdlife and native vegetation, offers an immediate introduction to one of the country’s most biodiverse regions.
Day 2 | Nature & River Experience
The rainforest provides the setting for a day of gentle exploration and quiet observation. Riverside walks, forest trails and optional canoeing reveal colourful birds, towering trees and the tranquil rhythm of the Macal River. The emphasis remains on reconnecting with nature while appreciating the remarkable biodiversity of western Belize.
Day 3 | Xunantunich and Cahal Pech Archeological Sites
Two remarkable Maya centres reveal different chapters of Belize’s ancient history. Cahal Pech, the oldest site in Belize, offers insight into one of the country’s earliest royal settlements, while Xunantunich, reached by Belize’s last hand-cranked ferry, features the impressive El Castillo pyramid overlooking the Mopan River Valley and surrounding rainforest.
Day 4 | Journey to Caye Caulker
Travelling east to the Caribbean coast, the journey continues by boat or domestic flight to Caye Caulker, a small island renowned for its laid-back Caribbean character. Sandy streets, turquoise waters and colourful wooden buildings define everyday island life, creating a striking contrast to the rainforest landscapes of western Belize.
Day 5 | Hol Chan Marine Reserve
A guided excursion explores Hol Chan Marine Reserve, one of Belize’s oldest and most celebrated protected marine areas. Snorkelling among vibrant coral formations reveals tropical fish, rays, nurse sharks and sea turtles while highlighting the exceptional biodiversity of the Belize Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 6 | Island Leisure
A full day at leisure embraces the relaxed rhythm of island life. Swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding or quiet walks along the shoreline provide opportunities to appreciate the Caribbean at an unhurried pace, while the island’s welcoming atmosphere encourages complete relaxation and genuine disconnection from everyday routine.
Day 7 | Transfer to Belize City & Departure
Short flight to Belize City International Airport for departure. The journey concludes with a broader understanding of Belize’s remarkable diversity, from the rainforest and ancient Maya heritage of the interior to the Caribbean coast, the Savannahs and Wetlands, to the Belize Barrier Reef.

Arrival at Belize City airport with private road transfer transfer to San Ignacio. Accommodation at Table Rock Jungle Lodge, an eco-friendly retreat along the Macal River.
Day 2 | Caracol – Mayan Archaeological Site
Guided visit to Caracol, one of Belize’s largest Maya cities, featuring plazas, palaces, and the pyramid Caana. Afternoon return to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 3 | Xunantunich, Cahal Pech & Butterfly & Hummingbird Farm
Morning visit to Xunantunich and Cahal Pech, showcasing classic Maya architecture. Afternoon at a Butterfly and Hummingbird Farm with tropical gardens and educational exhibits.
Day 4 | Transfer to Toledo, Maya Living Experience & Uxbenka
Transfer to Toledo District with a Maya Living Experience. Visit Uxbenka, one of Belize’s oldest Maya settlements. Overnight at Tanager Rainforest Lodge.
Day 5 | Jungle Adventure & Cave Exploration
Rainforest hike to Oke’bal Ha Cave, observing Maya artifacts and limestone formations. Local lunch and swim in Rio Blanco.
Day 6 | Toledo – Features & Local Culture
Optional jungle activities, nature walks, and community experiences highlighting biodiversity and Maya heritage.
Day 7 | Transfer to Belize City & Departure
