Fishing & Fly-Fishing Tour
Southern Belize offers ideal conditions for both fishing and fly-fishing, from shallow flats to mangrove channels and offshore reef edges. Fishing is possible across all marine regions of the country, with this tour focused on the productive and less-pressured waters of the south. Guided and flexible, it is adapted to target species, tides, and experience level.
Details | Fishing & Fly-Fishing Tour
The waters off southern Belize are known for their diversity and relatively low fishing pressure. Flats, lagoons, mangrove systems, and reef structures create a varied environment that supports a wide range of species.
Fly-fishing typically focuses on the classic trio — permit, bonefish, and tarpon — found in shallow flats and channels, where technique and timing play a key role. Conventional fishing options expand the range to include snapper, barracuda, jacks, and other reef and coastal species.
Guided by experienced local captains, the day is structured around tides, weather conditions, and movement of fish. Access by boat allows efficient coverage of different areas, from protected mangroves to open flats and nearby cayes.
The experience can be tailored for both experienced anglers and those new to the sport, with guidance on technique, equipment, and local conditions provided throughout.
While the focus is on southern Belize, fishing and fly-fishing can also be arranged in other regions of the country, depending on preference and season.
